Knowledge is Power – ADC Encourages Use of Website
(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition is encouraging the community to utilize the ADC website for information, resources, guidance, and more as it relates to youth prevention.
The ADC website was finalized in 2020 and is designed to offer consistent, timely, and relevant information to parents, caregivers, educators, and anyone else in the community interested in playing a role in local prevention efforts.
The ADC consists of four subcommittees with each prioritizing a specific area: Marijuana, Alcohol, Prescription Drugs, and Tobacco. All four of these focus areas are represented at adctusc.org where community members can access general facts and education, local statistics, warning signs of use, and prevention tips for parents and caregivers.
“Our goal in enhancing the ADC website was to ensure immediate and 24/7 access to accurate and trustworthy information related to local prevention efforts,” explained ADC Coordinator Jodi Salvo. “Knowledge truly is power, and we are dedicated to providing that knowledge as we continue to collaborate in an initiative to keep our kids drug free.”
Website visitors also have access to the latest press releases issued by the ADC, podcast episodes, local resources, and opportunities to volunteer.
“Please utilize this website regularly,” added Salvo. “Of course, we are always here to talk to you directly, but this platform is an effective starting point as we continue to educate ourselves, our children, and our entire community about drug use and prevention. Together, we can make a difference.”
