ADC to Welcome National Leadership to Upcoming Meeting

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition is excited to welcome CADCA President and CEO, General Barrye Price to an upcoming coalition meeting.

General Price is an innovative and accomplished leader who has broken barriers in the professional world, as both a civilian and civil servant. In addition to his experience as COO/EVP of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), he served in the U.S. Army for 31 years, retiring at the grade of Major General and receiving numerous military awards and decorations with the highest being the United States Army Distinguished Service Medal. General Price became the first African American to obtain a doctorate in history from the storied Texas A&M University. In one of his many Human Resources positions in the U. S. Army, he worked at Headquarters of Department of the Army where he was responsible for the Army’s Substance Abuse Programs.

General Price will participate in the virtual ADC meeting on March 5th, 2021.

“We are honored to welcome General Price to learn more about the prevention efforts here in Tuscarawas County,” explained ADC Coordinator Jodi Salvo. “Having his leadership and expertise present at our meeting is sure to further enhance the work we do locally.”

The mission of CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) is to strengthen the capacity of community coalitions to create and maintain safe, healthy and drug-free communities globally.  This is accomplished by providing technical assistance and training, public policy advocacy, media strategies and marketing programs, training, and special events.
